From Human System Bio-based Knowledge Management toward Nature Knowledge Theory
CLARIFYING THE DOMAIN OF SCIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
Thanks for pak Adie Marzuki’s (from Technopreneur Group) interesting essay on Ade’s 4 years life journey in between 2008 to 2012. It’s really very inspirative for us as human being seeking harmonization of Science-Knowledge-Spiritual
Regarding the above issue, I’d like to underline some points :
First, it seems that there is a very significantly different between Easteners and Westeners people regarding they look at the meaning of life. The Easteners people, their philosophical way of life is mostly dominated by their religious life. The Westeners people, in contrast even among their religiously people, their way of daily thinking is dominated by logical as well as rational thinking
Second, the implication of the above mentioned is, the Easteners people either with their awareness or not being fully aware, divided the universe as their meaning of life into 3 types of universe. First, is Physical Universe (alam Lahiriah). Second, is Inner Universe (alam Batiniah). Third, is Divine Universe (alam Ilahiah)
Third, mostly among West civilization they divide the universe only into 2 types. They are namely Physical Universe (alam Lahiriah) and Inner Universe (alam Batiniah). The Spiritual domain, in which the Eastearners people put it within Divine Universe (alam Ilahiah), the Westerners people mostly clarified it into Inner Universe.
Fourth, some implications (as evidence illustrations) significantly related with Knowledge Management (KM) important to be discussed :
1. Prof Graig’s (from : University of Washington Human Interface Technology Laboratory and the founder of the Investor Group Against Digital Divide) statement emphasizing the next era of ICT will be Spiritual Computing. The underlying reason is because he clarified Spiritual domain within Inner Universe. But here, I emphasize that the next era will be “beyond Knowledge to Wisdom domain” computing or beyond 2.0 platform but will not exceed unto Spiritual domain because it is within Divine Universe as the Human third Universe (see ; Attachment 1)
2. Until recently, there is no known general approvingly agreed definition of Knowledge as well as Knowledge Management (KM) among scientists as well as scholars. Why? It seems the answers based on two prominent factors :
--> The paradigm (in Westerners people) that Knowledge as well as Science are both classified within Physical Universe. But, (see : Attachment 2 ) from my proposed concept, Science and Knowledge each has entirely very different domain. Science within Physical Universe and Knowledge within Inner Universe•
--> The insistent among scientists as well as scholars to making Knowledge and Knowledge Management (KM) towards pure scientific enterprise in which I refer the term of it as “Scientific Knowledge” don’t have reasonable consideration. Why? It is because Science and Knowledge each has epistemologically different domain (see again : Attachment 2)
To conclude, based on Rudyard Kipling’s ….. OH, East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet…..,we should make it irrelevance by leveraging us with Social Media Platform (Web 2.0 platform) to develop Social Constructivism globally or doing Social Learning or Social Networking to clarify further with the others on the basic issue of the Science and Knowledge
And “last but not least” from my point of view, our mission is : “To Boldly Go Where Some People Have Gone Before”.
