BLOOM’S TAXONOMY OF LEARNING AND KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT RELATIONSHIP

TYPES OF LEARNING

There are three types of learning. Human learning, Organizational learning as well as Machine (Techno) learning. Toward process acquisition of knowledge they both should in states of learning to becoming Learning Human, Learning Organization as well as Learning Machine respectively.

Learning itself in broad meaning is the process of transforming physical evidence to data to information to knowledge to wisdom and beyond within DIKW continuum ( source :  http://mobeeknowledge.ning.com/forum/topics/we-are-the-knowledge-hybrid )

 

 

HUMAN LEARNING

Description of Human Learning through Mobee Knowledge’s  version, essentially comprising 3 kinds of learning theories : Know-What, Know-How and Know-Where Learning respectively (source :   http://mobeeknowledge.ning.com/forum/topics/preparing-mobile-elearning-20  ).  The following is in brief :     

 

  • Know-What Learning (Behaviorism Theory) + Know-How Learning (Cognitivism Theory) + e-Learning (emphasized on Multi Media) = Constructivism Theory

 

  • Constructivism Theory + Social Media Platform (Connectivism / Collaboration + Navigationism / Interaction) = Social Learning = Social Constructivism Theory (Know-Where Learning)

 

 

ORGANIZATIONAL LEARNING

Organizational learning is an area of knowledge within organizational theory that studies models and theories about the way an organization learns and adapts.

TECHNO LEARNING

Techno or Machine learning is a scientific discipline that is concerned with the design and development of algorithms that allow computers to evolve behaviors based on empirical data, such as from sensor data or databases. A major focus of techno learning research is to automatically learn to recognize complex patterns and make intelligent decisions based on data; the difficulty lies in the fact that the set of all possible behaviors given all possible inputs is too complex to describe generally in programming languages, so that in effect programs must automatically describe programs. Artificial intelligenceis a closely related field, as also probability theory and statistics, data mining, pattern recognition, adaptive control, and theoretical computer science. DOMAIN OF LEARNING WITHIN KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT

 

The domain of Human Learning – Organization Learning –and  Machine Learning  in conjunction with our Human System Biology-based KM  (HSBKM) concept  as follow :

  • Machine/Techno Learning situated mostly within KM Tools domain
  • Human Learning situated mostly within KM Process Framework domain
  • Organizational Learning situated within KM Standards Culture and Value domain

  1. Machine Learning could substitute human performance at C1, A1 and P1-P2 (not mentioning the possibility of Semantic Web as well as Artificial Intelligence (AI) performance that may surpass into deeper level in Bloom’s domain of learning)
  2. Human Learning could scoring at medium level performance “easily with no excessive effort” to get C2, C3, C4, A2, P3 and P4
  3. Organizational Learning could assist human being to achieve into deeper performance level at C5, C6, A4, A5, P6 and P7

*C = Cognitive domain ranging from C1 – C6

  A = Affective domain ranging from A1 – A5

  P = Psychomotor  domain ranging  from P1 – P7
