From Human System Bio-based Knowledge Management toward Nature Knowledge Theory
Remarkable discussion about DIKW model, which stand for Data Information Knowledge Wisdom, currently occurred in KM4Dev DGroups discussion http://bit.ly/aknN5E . The essence of the problem described well in brief by Patrick Lambe, from Straits Knowledge - Singapore, as written on his e-mail to me (Feb 8, 2012) about DIKW model : “…………….I did read your posting and have been thinking about your separation of DI-KW. While it solves the problem of the gap between data and knowledge, it's still problematic, because of the way that information and knowledge tend to get tangled up with each other. Writers since Karl Wiig in the early 1990s have been noting how difficult it is sometimes to distinguish information from knowledge in some circumstances. We should have this conversation when we finally meet! ............”.
Let me show you my view on one of the biggest issue in KM which is to great extend strongly related with recent articles in our SNS “Mobee Knowledge CoP – KM 2.0” through the Attachment below.
